Points are usually calculated within 3 hours of the final whistle of the last match of the day – and some stats may be adjusted during this time based on information from referees or data providers.
Final decisions on fantasy points for Premier League contests are determined by the official Fantasy Premier League game, not FantasyGo.
Note that players will score points based on their assigned FantasyGo position, which may differ from the position that play in on the day. For example, if a regular defender plays in midfield for a match, he will still score points as a defender.
You must assign a Captain and a Vice-Captain for your Fantasy Football team.
Your Captain’s final score will be multiplied by 2.
Your Vice-Captain’s final score will be multiplied by 1.5.
Zero and negative scores will also be multiplied.
A player must be on the field for the at least 60 minutes (excluding stoppage time) to be awarded clean sheet points.
Substituted players will be not be penalised for goals conceded after they have been substituted.
If a player gets a red card, they will continue to be penalised for goals conceded by their team after they’ve been sent off.
Every player who plays in any given match scores one point. Players score an extra point when they play 60 minutes, excluding stoppage time.
For Premier League contests, assists are awarded to the player from the goal scoring team who last touches the ball before their teammate who scores the goal. The final touch can be an intentional pass, an inadvertent touch, or the result of an effort on goal.
Players cannot get assist points for goals that they scored.
Only one player can get assist points for any one goal.
If an opposing player deflects the ball after the final pass before a goal is scored, significantly altering the intended destination of the ball, then no assist is awarded.
Should an unforced defensive error lead to the goalscoring opportunity, then no assist will be awarded.
If the goal scorer loses and then regains possession, then no assist is awarded.
If a shot at goal is blocked by an opposition player, saved by a goalkeeper, or hits the woodwork, and from the rebound a goal is scored, then an assist is awarded. The shot does not have to be on target to result in an assist. The action leading to the rebound can be a shot or a cross-shot, but not an intended cross or pass attempt.
If a significant touch is made by an opposition player after the blocked effort, then no assist is awarded.
If a player shoots or passes the ball and directly forces an opposing player to put the ball in their own net, then an assist is awarded. If the pass or cross takes a significant deflection off an opposition player prior to their teammate scoring an own goal, then no assist is awarded.
In the event of a penalty or free-kick being scored, the player earning the penalty or free-kick is awarded an assist. However, if the goal is scored by the player who earned the penalty or free-kick, then no assist is awarded.
For the avoidance of doubt, points awarded in-game are subject to change up until one hour after the final whistle of the last match of the Gameweek. Once the points have all been updated on that day, no further adjustments to points will be made unless under extraordinary circumstances.
Cards can be awarded to players who are not on the field of play.
If a player gets a yellow card and then a straight red card, they will only be penalised for the red card.
If a player gets a red card, they will continue to be penalised for goals conceded by their team after they’ve been sent off.
Bonus points are awarded to the best players in each match, determined using a range of statistics.
The three best performing players in each match will be awarded bonus points. 3 points will be awarded to the highest scoring player, 2 to the second best and 1 to the third. In some instances 4 players will be awarded bonus points.
All bonus points are determined by the official Fantasy Premier League game, not FantasyGo.
A comprehensive guide on how bonus points are calculated can be found here.
Captains and Vice-Captains who play but finish with a score of 0 or lower will not be replaced.
If your Captain does not play: Your Vice-Captain will become your new Captain and the cheapest player in your team will become your new Vice-Captain.
If your Vice-Captain does not play: The cheapest player in your team will become your new Vice-Captain.
If both your Captain and Vice-Captain do not play: The second cheapest player in your team will become your new Captain and the cheapest player in your team will become your new Vice-Captain.
If two or more players are tied as the cheapest player, the one with fewer total points will be selected.
You will have a budget of 80.0 to pick your fantasy team in all Premier League contests.
Player prices are determined entirely by the official Fantasy Premier League game. Player prices may change throughout the season but not while a contest is in progress.
